August 2013

Got a sitter and broke free from baby jail to take the boys to Barton Creek Falls to swim. It was late August and super hot....we thought we had the best idea ever

Well that is until we hiked down to them and seen this. whoops, guess since it hand't rained in a month it dried up. But 2 good rains and that big cliff in the back becomes a nice jump rock into about a 6 foot pool of water. Welcome to the Hill Country

J decided we should just keep hiking up stream to wear the water pools up. we did some hide-n-seek along the way. These pics make it look like I'm such a great mom and we do such amazing things outside. The reason I took the pics is because this we the ONLY time all summer I did something outside of my yard with the kids. And I whined a whole lot on this hike bc it was hot and i wanted to go home. I'm just going to keep it real

This is a facebook/twitter/instagram worthy pic. I was surprised that it turned out so well is why I did post it on Facebook

Here's a real pic. C screaming bc he's an angry little toddler and J doing some weird face because he like to annoy me. I'm only smiling bc I could see the camera other wise I would have a ticked off look on my face. Motherhood aint easy.....but it has some great moments too. I think only about 40% of the toddler years are great tho....that is fact!

turns out J's idea was good....Glad i didn't throw a mama-fit and want to go home to the a/c. When I told him that I was glad I held my fit-throwing self in and went with his idea. It made a little light go on in his head. I find myself apologizing a lot to him, because lets face it, we owe it to the 1st born

When she puts that thumb in that means it's time for a nap. Having the 3rd be a great sleeper was a huge blessing with 3 this close in age.

Just a 2 seater?

Not a problem for this trio

She loved getting rides from them. she'd climb on that thing, bounce up and down and squeal till one of the hobo's took her for a ride

Best thing we ever bought that summer. There was no way I was going to take the Trio to a pool. Talk about stressing yourself out. Plus, naps. need i say more? They could play for hours and I could drink wine in my own backyard. Perfect summer for mommy to survive. The more kids I have the less i pass judgment on any mama. We're just trying to survive the little years, amiright?

worn out kids and a peaceful segway into dinner time

on occasion I would go meet a friend at one of their pools. It was doable but not my fav. C is the best sharer in the world. He loves to feed his sissy

Some shoes she picked. Girl is a little fashionista

One VERY hot August morning we went to the wildlife refuge place just north of Drippin. Some crazy mix of animals there. The kids had fun feeding them off of the truck we rode on. I on the other hand stayed far back from the bar and took pics. Mama wasn't a fan of touching them

When she 1st started waving every time a camera was put up to her. ha!

C is a animal lover. Loves all of God's creatures and has no fear, even with snakes. wwwwww

Kid cracks me up

At Costco. When 2 of the 3 disappear you just may find them curled up in a chair reading books. Love Coscto.

They were so pumped about these little gems we found at the Costco trip that week. Love these boys

C. This kid is so shy but when he's with his family he's the one that makes us all laugh doing such funny things. This one will be framed one day for sure

Her 1st selfie with mama. Girl is now obsessed with them. mommy on the other hand, well lets just say that the lack of sleep for the past 6 years have taken its toll on me

Yes at Coscto again. she would always go straight for the boys toys because that's all she is used to seeing in her world till recently

J at meet the teacher night for Kinder. He was so excited

Packing up to head to school for the 1st day of Kinder

Hugging daddy and getting a tad scared
Got as far as the garage, got down on his knees and said "daddy pray with me, I'm scared to go to Kinder"

At his desk with his brave face on

Pick up from the 1st day. Standing and ready to get picked up.  I'll let ya know how it ends.....J killed kinder. So all that colicky screaming paid off......He truly is a very smart kid. Sorry I thought you were a liar Dr W.

C's 1st day with the next morning. His face gets so funny when he uncomfortable. It's better than when he was little and would stick both pointer fingers up his nostrils

Putting his lunch away. So glad that preschool has taught my kids AND me organizational skills.  HA!

Clinging to Hobbes before going into the class

I had to go get them new shoes so I took the Miss Academy that am. Girl was in Heaven....she loves her some shoes

1st time all 3 of them in the truck facing forwards.

wow daddy, these are some BIG windows. She stared out that window most of the trip.

Stealing J's sucker stash while he was at school. This is why the youngest is a trickster
