Picture of a pictire

These were sent to me in the mail ( I'm talking snail-mail..poney express.. US Postal mail. You know, old school), and I realized that we still don't have a "family pic" of all of us. Well, now we do :-)

And this one cause it makes me laugh. Girl was getting some eye contact and it makes her happy happy happy. (shout out to Duck Dynasty, Ha! Ha!)

K's turn

The shirt's not apart of the "outfit" but shes not a fan of playing dress up w clothes that go over her head too many times in one day.... Gah, girl don't you know I've been suppressing this dress up business for 4 years?! Mama wanna play dress up!!! Ha! Ha!

Precious! Or as daddy calls her "poofy princess"

Dress Rehersal

I love that they still like to dress the same. C wanted to be Spiderman and J wasn't sure, but then when saw C's costume he was all in. No doubt, in a few years dressing the same as his little bro will be "un-cool", but until then I'll enjoy my little "Pete & Re-Pete" pics ;-)

They are....

She is.....
A jumping bean in the jumper

A sweet thumb sucker in the night

And a little little lady with accessories.

He is.....
A deer spotter with his "bee-knock-cue-ers"

He is.....
Captain Distructo when it comes to the bubble wrap and doesn't rest till every last one is popped

Together, they are the 3 things that keep this house full of laughter. Now if only I could get them to cooperate for a pic together.

A year ago today

At about 5:30 pm I stood with disbelief and slight anger, (just being real) at a little line that was controlling my future. I had planned on seeing this line twice before. But this time? No...., we (I) had not, nor did want to see this line a 3rd time. But oh how I learned over the next 8 months was that I was being given yet another chance to help a heart beat loud and hard for the cause of following Christ.... Or as J Moore put it so clearly as only she can "this was no surprise Crissy, you were chosen for this".
And "this", I love .........

A baby girl..... There's just something about her, I can't put my finger on it just yet, but until I do I'll thank God everyday that I was given the chance to have a daughter too. I'm just as madly in love with her as I am with my boys, and she's teaching me that no, I wasn't just "made for raising boys" ;-)

It. Is. Finished.

Well the yard is anyway, still have a long list of detail things inside for the trim guys and painters to do, but I'm trying to hold off on them coming till it cools off a bit more so I can open the doors when they're here. If not, I'm sure one day Baby K's therapist will tell her to blame me for all the acrylic paint fumes she was exposed to as an infant. Get it line sister, your brothers therapists have waaaayyyy more against me.

Now back to my love affair....yes, yes, still being dramatic over the lawn but I feel totally justified coming from where I've been living. These pics are strictly for me, and well maybe my family up north that might be a little curious if the construction dump site they seen back in June ever turned out to be a real house that you can actually live in.

Heeellloooo, lova!

Remember I did say this would happen.... Please understand, it's been a llloooonng time since my feet have stepped on grass in my own yard. The PDA (public display of affection) may be too much for some to handle. Walk away, walk away now, for fear of maybe vomiting in your mouth from the PDA I'm about to lavish on this here lawn........

A moment of silence please while we take it in.... Shhhh, hey, yes I'm taking to you, shhhhhhhhhh!

And just so you know that I'm not the only freak in this house.... I texted the pic below to T-rav yesterday am when the semi showed up with the sod and here was his response
"Never thought id be so excited to see sod. Feels like were crossing the Jordan from the desert ;-)"

I'd like to thank Instagram for adding a bit of nostalgia to the pics of my lova.... Made the PDA so much more satisfying, for me of course, not you. No go use some mouth wash, I'm sure I've made you either sick or highly concerned about me, either way your teeth will thank me.

Muah, love you grass!

I got plenty more where this came from

Miss thang smiling so hard it was hurting. One cute thing to remember about her is that she loves eye contact. If you hold her, lift her up to your face... The girl will smile so huge and then start cooing at you. Repeat back to her what she's saying and her smile will almost break her face

Telling me "no mom! I no like picture!" augh, the sass mouth is in all of them.... It's almost as bad as head lice

Before the sod..... This landscape came with a huge drama tag... Good grief who knew throwing down some blades of grass could be so unbelievably complicated, but come tomorrow am I will be watching grass magically appear all around our house....thanks Iu new BFF, Mr. Cruz. It's been a long month and a half without it.... Heck long 21 months, since wee had real grass for the kids to play on. FYI: I will be having a love affair with our grass this next year... Just so you know ;-)

Happy birthday to you!

J turned 5 today and I'm noticing how I manage every year to be able to get pics of him up right near or on his bday, but it takes me 3 mos to get them up of C for his bday. Clearly you won't see pics of K's 1st bday till she graduates from high school... Your turning purple, stop holding your breath.

Did his bday cupcakes and presents from us and grand parents the night before because I like abuse and feel the need to drag their bdays out into a week long celebration. Of course I'm regretting this usually by the 2nd day, when I've suddenly I've become their bday b!*#%.

C's favorite part about bdays... Cupcakes!

Laughing at his daddy.... He personally doesn't find me as hilarious as you nice people do, but in his defense my sense of humor is "off and slightly sarcastic", as a neighbor recently commented. I concur

Suddenly noticing the pile of presents. The boy has more self control than his mama, cause he waited another 30 mins before he opened them. Self-control or just the ability to drag it out as long as possible?

This one is more like his mama... A little off, a little random and super spontaneous... Case in point, the pant-less guitar serenade. Now while this is something I would not do personally, I can however appreciate his sudden urge to express his creativeness by re-singing the bday song in a memorable way. That, in it's self, is gift enough if you ask me

Surprise and excitement from one of the gifts he got. We live very close to a Tractor Supply and it was super convienent and completely normal for our family that most of the things he wanted could be purchased there.... Someone Que. the dueling banjos.

See this is how I create chaos-play close attention, because it adds a hint of "zeal" to your schedule- i make it necessary that they expect balloons in the house when they wake up on their bday morn. But Guess who's truckin it to HEB at 9:30 pm the night before to get said surprise? Oh you know T-rav got more sense than me.... He just smiles, kisses my forehead as I'm walking out the door and says "I'm going to bed, goodnight Birthday, b!*#%".

This morning with all 5 of his bday balloons. He's worth it.

And by 4 he had spiked a high fever and spent the rest of his bday Laying on the sofa and napping.... Sadly it Made for a nice quiet afternoon
