Dear little teeth that are below the gum line,
I'm not sure what sort of game you are playing but you are making my world so much harder. What could I convince you of to just come on out and join the party in C's mouth? Please stop torturing my little man, cause, well he's just little.
Regards,
his mommy
Yep, that's right folks, little C turned 11 months old a few days ago and is still a full gummy smile. Big brother didn't get his grill going till late either, so I guess that's norm for these boys.
Some cute little things to know about C:
-he's getting a personality that is a "jokester" like his daddy. The other day after dropping brother off at school I was looking back at him and he would give me his adorable wrinkled nose. Then he held his sippy cup on his head with a huge smile on his face until I called him a "silly boy" to which he laughed out loud.
-He's getting a little better at standing, but not all by himself yet. No walking, but can crawl super fast.
-He really loves looking at books in his room.
-loves his brother's monkey chair, which J kindly shares with him. He'll climb on it and babble at the monkeys....so cute!
-loves water and will splash in a puddle in the driveway forever. Cheap, easy entertainment
-is starting to get to play with the big boys. when daddy and J are wrestling he'll crawl over and climb on top of whoever, laughing and squealing the whole time. We'll tell him "get brother" and he'll start crawling all over J, so funny.
-when big brother fell and got hurt the other day, I took him in the bathroom to clean up his road rash and C crawled from the back porch all the way to the bathroom, pulled himself up next to J where he was sitting and kept looking a him with concern. I found that really interesting.
-Definitely says mama now......and he is definitely a mama's boy. wow! some days he can't get enough of this girl
-He still is having ear issues. We've had 4 ear infections now since post-tube surgery. Our new ENT here is waiting till this next infection is over, the inflammation goes down and then she's going to be running some test. I'm hoping that she's a little aggressive and puts an end to all this non-sense. I feel like this child has suffered enough, but I'm mommy so what do I know.
I wish I could remember more, but C doesn't sleep very well during these infections and I run on empty a lot. I just try to take as many pics as I can so I can at least look at his face and remember what he looked like. Tired mama's remember very little
J sleeping the other night.....he's our crazy sleeper

and I crept in for a shot of C....he's our gentle sleeper. We've stepped up to a pillow to help with the pressure in his ears.....it's made only a slight difference :-(

J started swim lessons.....so cute to see them all lined up. He told his teacher, Mr Kyle, that he was going to teach him how to swim. Good thing Mr Kyle has a great sense of humor
So proud of himself after swimming across with no help. He's a quick learner and took to the water like a fish.......a boy after my own heart

eating puffs

working his smile on mommy and the camera

Brother saying "PEAS!!!"
Hmmm, who's this curious little fellow? Why it's J at 11 months!

J at 11 months again. I think they look nothing alike

And that same little boy at 3 1/2.....where did the time go?
Back to reality.....C now at 11 months. He loves to lift his foot up and rest it on his snack trap while munching away and watching J. Cracks me up
awwwww... sleeping C

C pops right up and smiles when he wakes up. Mommy had to wake him to go pick J up from school

confused as to why I'm taking his pic

later reading books....a new favorite pastime

Those little fingers trying to get the book open

ah, ha......open

what, mom? why are you in here again with that camera?

oh,
ok....I'll smile. I love how his face changes so much with each expression

how bout a little head tilt mom?

a mid-sized smile

and a big smile

Grandma sent some fun new books....The
Berenstein Bears collection (one of mommy's favorite when she was a little girl)....J loves them and I catch him in his room looking at them a lot

Always ready for fun!! He's a 3 year old boy with non-stop energy......completely normal :-)

still has a soft spot for mommy. I had a procedure done on my foot today and had to elevate it tonight, so J wanted his foot wrapped too and then he
laid next to me with it elevated while we read books.

J started yet another new preschool. I wasn't too crazy about the other one and this new one is FANTASTIC and the best part, it's only 2 miles from our house! J loved it the minute we walked in the door. The director is joyful, loves kids and desires that the school be a blessing to the community......she's my new role model. It's a tiny school, only 4 classes with 8 kids in each, but when you walk in you would think it's bigger cause the kids are just having a blast. When I dropped him off on Wed (it's Wed, Fri...which is backwards for me, but this school is worth it) he hugged me and baby C at the same time (so precious) and said "brother, I'll be home later I have to go to big boy school now ok? I love you. Mommy I love you too" and then just bounced into the room. When I picked him up he was smiling from ear to ear, showing me his stick horse he made. Their theme was Texas/rodeo this week and he was showing me how he makes a letter X with his body......too cute. Tomorrow they are having stick horse races......does it getter any more adorable than that? We had a wonderful preschool in Ft Where, and I'm so glad we hit the jackpot here.
Need to go to sleep now.....pain
meds are kicking in...
ahhhhhhh! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
