So bummed

I FORGOT THE CAMERA CORD...AUGH!!! Why oh why. I know that when I get back I'll get busy and forget to post the pics and they are so cute!! I took JT swimming yesterday afternoon and he was all business. No smiles, just serious look on his face checking it all out, but then after dinner we all 3 went and he was LOVING swimming with daddy. I think it's because it was something new when I took him not because he likes daddy more....that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I know one thing is for sure, I sure could get used to these swanky hotels. But how could you not, the staff bends over backwards to please you and they treat you like your a famous rock star. Of course I think I'm getting extra special treatment because I tote around an adorable baby, but none-the-less, I think I could move in. But reality is setting in as I pack us up this morning to get ready to leave this afternoon. I told Travis how much I loved it and his response...."gee, JT is sure doesn't take mommy very long to get used to things that are expensive...too bad daddy is cheap." In other words, if XTO wasn't paying for this we'd be at the Holiday Inn. Oh I still love him.

Well need to finish packing it up, cause we are headed to the Galleria and the Cheesecake Factory.....YUM!!

Have a good weekend!

Houston, we have a problem

Well not really, but we are in Houston. JT and I came with Travis to Houston last night for a little mini-vacation. Travis has a class here today and tomorrow, so we thought we would tag along for some fun! We're staying in uptown Houston (west of downtown) at the Mariott. JT and I plan to go swimming today at the indoor pool and hot tub, I can't wait to see how he takes to the water. I'll try and get some pics, but if not, Travis said that he wants to go swim with him tonight after his class...so maybe I'll snap a few then.

I can say that I'm not a fan of Houston because it is s- o-o-o-o BIG (sometimes Ft Worth is too big for me) but the area we are in is pretty nice. Tomorrow we are going to the Galleria to see what the big deal is about that place. I know we have one close to us in Dallas, but as Travis and I like to say, "life is too short to go to Dallas", so I'll just check this one out in Houston. Besides they have a Cheesecake Factory there, so that alone is worth the trip. If you've ever ate at a Cheesecake Factory you would understand.

I'll post some pics tomorrow morning, while JT naps. By the way I am just full of praise to God for answering my prayer last night...JT not only did GREAT riding in the car seat for 4 hours but he also did wonderful falling asleep last night and staying asleep in the hotel. I thought for sure it would be a chore, but nope, he did really well! Yea!!!

And just to rub it in for all of you freezing up north, here's the weather forecast for Houston today from NOAA.......
Today:
Mostly sunny, with a high near 70. South wind between 10 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Of course wind like that would be considered "breezy" in Wyoming. HA! HA!

Hair today...gone tomorrow!

Well I never thought it would happen, but last Saturday I woke up and was SICK of my long hair. It looked great when I was pregnant, was shinny and full of body, but since Oct 3 it has been one clump of hair after another falling out and clogging up the shower and was losing it's luster with each passing day. So on a whim, I just went down to a hair cut-em-up joint and had it chopped.....short, very short. I don't think I have ever had hair this short in my life, but it's just hair and it's a nice change.

LONG HAIR
The New Crissy!!
This is just one that I thought showed his BRIGHT blue eyes so well. Everyone comments on how pretty his baby blues are and I of course totally agree!!!

Have a good weekend!

What day is it?

Wow, time has flown by once again. I can't believe that January is almost over, that it has been a month since we we're in Wyoming and that the Packers didn't make it to the Super Bowl!!

Ok, so here's the briefing on our trip. We got stuck in a blizzard on the way there and had to sleep in the truck at a rest stop south of Lamar, CO. The Dodge Mega Cab paid for itself that night, we had plenty of room..Travis and Copper up front, me and Jackson in the back. On the way back we had to drive during the day due to another snow storm that closed I-25. Jackson travels a lot better when he is sleeping. Looking back it wasn't too bad and I can add my name to the short list of moms that have traveled 18+ hours in a car with a 12 week baby. (That's me patting myself on the back :-)

Our time in Wy was fun we spent lots of time with family and got to see our good friends again. Of course no one was excited to see us, it was all about Jackson. I did make the mistake of showing up at Brian and Kerri's with out Jackson one evening (I was just dropping off a present and didn't want to drag him out in the frigid cold....it was SOOOOO COLD), boy did I hear about that. And I thought people would be happy just to see me...whatever, it's all about the baby now! HA! HA!

January has been a rough month for us. Jackson has been congested and not sleeping well at all. We found out last Monday that he has had a sinus infection for the last month. Then last weekend Travis, Jackson and I all got the stomach flu. Vomiting and diarrhea.....it was horrible. At one point on Thursday @ 2 am Travis was hovered over one toilet, I over the other and Jackson was in our bed SCREAMING because he was laying in his own vomit. It was at that point that I thought "this can not be happening, we should be living in Wy so that we have 4 grandma's on call and taking shifts helping us." But we made it through and are doing much better, I guess it could have been worse. I heard someone say once, "God only gives you what you can handle" well I must be super woman because that SUCKED!!

Here's some pics from the last month....

Kids are great when their eyes are closed and their sleeping
